18 May 2020, Singapore – Get your game on this Circuit Breaker and enjoy some exciting live-streamed esports and gaming action with #PlayApartTogether in Singapore and raise funds for a good cause.
Organised by Zenway Productions, #PlayApartTogether in Singapore (#PATSG) is variety gaming programme that hopes to raise funds for home-based nursing, migrant workers and lower-income families through donations made by viewers and brands during the programme. The series of live-streamed content aims to provide viewers with access to some of their favourite YouTubers, streamers and professional gaming teams while the community does their part by staying home and raising funds and awareness for individuals affected by Covid-19.
Happening over two weekends 23 – 24 May and 30 – 31 May, #PATSG is set to feature a complete lineup of showmatches and party games for everyone. Gaming enthusiasts can look forward to local professional esports teams going head to head in games such as Mobile Legends and Call of Duty: Mobile while casual or non-gamers can enjoy the fun and more casual content from local YouTube celebrities and streamers. All live-streams will be aired on the Zenway Productions Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/ZenwayProductions/).
Mobile Legends matches will feature local esports teams like EVOS and Divinity, while streamers such as Twilights, Flynn and LuckyElie will showcase their aptitude in games including Just Dance 2020 and Jackbox Party 6. Gaming influencers are also set to battle it out in Call of Duty Warzone Showmatches that will feature personalities like Nurhakim Suhaimi, Danial Ron (Titan Digital Media) and Julian Tay (Night Owl Cinematics). A FIFA 20 clash between Professional esports team, Team Flash and professional football players from the Young Lions, Ilhan Fandi, Abdul Rasaq, Akmal Azman and Jacob Mahler, will continue to blur the lines between traditional sport and esports where viewers can expect exciting live, virtual football action.
During the event, viewers will also get the chance to do their part for the community by staying home and making donations, with proceeds raised going to beneficiaries such as the Home Nursing Foundation (HNF), Humanitarian Organisation for Migration Economics (HOME) and Community Chest. Videos from the various beneficiaries will be played during the event to demonstrate how small contributions can play a tremendous role in Singapore’s fight against Covid-19. Audiences will also get to learn more about the virus and what they can do to curb the spread of it.
Supporting this initiative are corporate partners such as Shopee, Ollela, and Suntec Singapore who will be providing logistical and promotional support for the event. Zenway Productions co-founder and Operations Director, Wayne Lim, said, “Gaming has become a popular form of entertainment as individuals stay home during the Circuit Breaker. Our team recognised an opportunity to merge gaming with raising awareness and support for needy members of our community in the fight against Covid-19. We hope that this event will provide quality entertainment to those at home and raise funds for our healthcare heroes, migrant workers and other vulnerable groups in Singapore. Stay Safe, Stay Healthy and Game On.”
